Trabzon Airport to Maçka Taxi

If you want to visit Sümela before checking in at Maçka, compare your likely arrival at the ticket desk with its closing time. The official museum page currently lists visiting hours of 08:00–17:00 and ticket-desk closure at 16:30. The later closing time does not give you another half-hour to buy a ticket. Allow for leaving the airport and reaching the ticket desk, rather than working from your landing time alone. The page also carries a partial-closure notice; check the current visitor announcements before committing to this first stop. If flight delays leave too little time, choose accommodation first and arrange the monastery visit separately.

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality's AKUS system lists line 451 as Maçka–Meydan–Sahil Peron. That gives you a city-side bus option to investigate, but the line name is not an airport pickup or a ride to Sümela Monastery. If you are arriving by air, first work out how you would reach the appropriate city stop from the airport. Check the current 451 direction, stops and departure for your travel date with the operator before committing to that change. In Maçka, compare your intended stop with your accommodation door; a village stay or a Sümela visit needs its own onward plan. If you prefer to ask for a direct car, share the actual door or visit destination rather than only “Maçka.”

The museum explains that vehicles reach a point below Sümela and visitors continue on foot through woodland and stairs. Check the museum’s current visitor information before setting out. Do not use a photograph of the cliff building as a car drop-off pin. Ask which current vehicle stopping point serves your visit, especially if someone has limited mobility or heavy luggage. A driver reaching the valley does not mean the vehicle can reach the monastery entrance.

For a return flight, use the address where you will sleep on the last night, not the first arrival destination if the itinerary changes. Check the airline's current check-in and baggage deadlines and state whether the flight is domestic or international. If you will visit Sümela before departure, treat that as an additional stop and discuss its order separately; visiting hours and the walk to the monument affect the plan. Request confirmation of the pickup place and time after giving the full itinerary, rather than assuming a one-way arrival booking includes a later airport ride.
